Florinda and Glork on the Wii

"So, who the hell are Florinda & Glork?" I hear you ask? Well, it's a relatively short story - literally...

It began when I found out about a short story-writing competition where the winners would get their work published in a Sci-fi/fantasy anthology, L. Ron Hubbard's Writer of the Future, I believe. So I came up with "Florinda & Glork", a fantasy tale starring a Fairy and a Snotling (I think the names suggest which one's which ) In this story, poor old Glork and the other Snotlings are the slaves of a horrible witch. Glork, after being chased by gremilns, finds himself in the witch's laboratory, where he finds Florinda, who has been captured for a spell. The two help each other to escape and return to Florinda's home.

Well, I haven't heard anything from the people running the competition . But that doesn't mean I'm giving up on Florinda & Glork! This first story is only the beginning, the pair have to get through a forest full of bizarre fantasy creatures, which means more short stories following their adventures.

"But what's with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk?"

I reckon that the stories could easily work as a video game, and the Wii offers the most intuitive control method: the game would be a traditional side-scrolling platformer, but as demonstrated by the picture, Glork would be controlled with the Nunchuk and Florinda with the Wii Remote (movement controlled with the pointer), using both of them to solve puzzles and progress through the games chapters. After playing LostWinds I reckon this could work as a WiiWare title, plus it might be easier to convince a smaller company to make it!

But in the meantime, Florinda & Glork are copyright to myself (And if by the small chance you'd like to draw them, I'd like you to ask me first )
